I don’t know why I stoped doing this.

I’m sorry but I’m back now. feel free to submit stories. http://fumyjob.tumblr.com/submit

I’ve got one for you guys.

I work in retail. In a very popular big box store. It’s my job to help “guests” find what they are looking for. For the most part I try to avoid doing this. But the other day A guy had come to me looking for help. He was an older man whom him and his wife had just became foster parents. They had just adopted a five year old girl who was abused. This guy was way over his head.

How could I not help this man find everything he needs? He’s doing a great thing. So I help him. I walk him from department to department finding bath toys, wall decals, blankets, anything he needed I helped him with.

After I was done helping him my boss called me over to him. He decided then to “coach” me on helping a “guest” for too long. It really only took about ten mins to help this guy with what he needed. I’d understand if I did this kind of stuff very often. For the most part I point and walk away. But he truly needed help. What am I to do? He didn’t even know what he needed. How do you just walk away from that?

It’s stuff like that, that makes you feel like you can’t do anything right.
