there’s a bomb outside, but keep answering those calls!
We had a bomb scare at my hospital about two months ago. My manager never had to evacuate our facility with patients present, so instead of alerting us to follow protocol she didn’t say anything to anyone. I only knew what was going on because my shared office had a front row seat to the bomb squad.
There has been no mention of or apologies for the lack of control from our management regarding patient and staff safety. I need to leave but I can’t… Damn this economy! Damn the people who treat their workers like shit because they know no one will leave a job without the promise of security elsewhere - it’s exploitation in its greatest form.
